Record Release Party of our new album "Demons". Special Guest: Chalcedony
Freedom is born in the realms of eccentricity. ~ David Bowie Join us for the CLONE ALBUM RELEASE PARTY featuring special guests Abel Collective. Prepare to dance your face off as we unveil our highly anticipated album, Knock Out Drops Volume 2 Saturday, November 4th, 7:00 pm at The Fox Cabaret. CLONE is a lush rock ʼn roll collage that fuses the sequined swagger of 70ʼs glam with the DIY gut punch of early punk and the audacious vocals of contemporary pop. Created by guitarist Kelly Zombor and lead vocalist Juniper Watters, they are joined by Lee Forrester (lead guitar), Gil Forrester (bass) and Jack Guppy (drums). All share an ability to connect with their inner alter egos who come out to play on stage. The first single from the album Knock Out Drops Volume 2 is called Queen and is available on all platforms. ABEL COLLECTIVE "Abel Collective features two lead singers informed by a ‘60s palette - from chanteuse to be-in to happening - filtered and expanded through the lift Madchester Rave, the storm of Shoegaze and a hunger for elevation." - Jens Kirschneck, What's That Noise Magazine The current lineup is comprised of Thorsten Abel (vocals and guitar), Tamla Mah (vocals and percussion), Doug Liddle (guitar and vocals), Gabrielle Ng (bass), Damion Gray (keyboards), and Tim Huston - (drums and percussion). For your health and convenience, N95 masks are available at Gabba Productions events. Enjoy the show.
Glam Rock Extravaganza with Clone and Abel Collective
(PDT, UTC-07) (PDT, UTC-07)
Glam Rock Band Clone (Vancouver) and Psychedelic Pop Band abel collective (Sechelt/Vancouver) unite for a double feature at the Roberts Creek Legion.
The Bands: CLONE is a lush Neo-Glam collage. The Vancouver based band fuses the sequined garage swagger of 70’s Glam, the DIY gut punch of early Punk with the audacious vocals of contemporary Pop. Familiar yet totally unique. CLONE revitalizes the glory days, reminding people what rock and roll is all about. Their shows are reminiscent of the New York Dolls meets T. Rex with gender-bending explosions of sound and vision.
As David Bowie once said ‘freedom is born in the realms of eccentricity’ and CLONE illuminates this beautifully. Their debut EP was recorded at Vancouver‘s legendary Warehouse Studio and was released in March 2020. It has consistantly been a pick on radio including SiriusXM's Rodney Bingenheimer Show.
abel collective is a Vancouver-based pop group centred around German ex-pat, singer, song-writer, Thor Abel. Featuring two lead singers - male and female - it’s shimmering sound is informed by a ‘60s palette - from chanteuse, to be-in, to happening - filtered and expanded through the lift of Madchester Rave, the storm of Shoegaze and a hunger for elevation.
Their life shows, visually enhanced through breathtaking projections by Vancouver artist Tayt Modern are a trip to another dimension - and sometimes back.
